大学英语(一)课程教学大纲

一.说明

(一)编写依据:根据国家教委全国大学英语教学大纲以及我院2001-2002年修订的教学计划,结合体育社会科学系体育管理学本科专业、体育经济学本科专业及人体科学系保健康复专业本科学生实际情况而制定本大纲。

(二)目的任务:本大纲的教学对象是体育社会科学系体育管理学本科专业、体育经济学本科专业及人体科学系保健康复专业本科学生。对他们的入学要求为:1、语音方面:能熟练地运用拼读规则和音标读生词;能比较流利地朗读没有生词、难度相当于高三英语课文的材料,口齿清楚,语音、语调大体正确。2、语法方面:能识别词类;区分名词的可数性和不可数性、可数名词的单、复数形式;基本掌握各种代词的形式与用法、基数词和序数词、常用介词和连词、形容词和副词的句法功能、比较级和最高级的构成及基本句型、冠词的一般用法;了解动词的主要种类、时态、语态及不定式和分词的基本用法、句子种类、基本句型和基本构词法。3、认知词汇不少于1,800个;掌握1,200个左右的常用词和一定数量的习惯用语及固定搭配,并能在口笔语中运用;认识740个左右的单词和一定数量的习惯用语及固定搭配,能根据上下文的提示理解其含义。本大纲的教学目的,是培养学生具有较强的阅读能力,一定的听、说、写、译的能力,使学生能以英语为工具,获取专业所需的信息,并为进一步提高英语水平,为高年级开设的英语专业课打下较好的基础

(三)课程类别:公共事业管理、经济学、新闻学、运动人体科学、教育技术学、应用心理学等专业学生公共必修课。

(五)学时数与学分:264学时,15学分。

1.第一册的主要任务是阅读技巧、听说训练和段落写作。 写作的题目往往是已学的课文内容相关。

2.词汇:掌握580-630个词汇(其中18%可通过泛读和其他学习项目掌握)以及常用词组。对其中300左

右的常用词要求拼写正确,能英汉互译,并掌握其基本用法。

3.阅读:精读量7000一8000词;泛读量20000-30000。能正确理解与课文难度相仿的文章。学会基本阅读技能,阅读速度为每分钟40词,难度略低,生词不超过总词量3%的材料,速度达每分钟60词,理解准确率为70%。

4.听::对题材熟悉,句子结构比较简单,基本上没有生词,语速为每分钟120词的听力材料,两遍可以昕懂,理解准确率为70%。

5.写:能运用所学词汇、语法结构和功能意念连句成段。

6.说:能用所学功能意念进行简单的日常会话,能用英语就课文进行问答。 7.译:能独立完成课程中的各种翻译练习,要求理解准确、语言通顺。

8.工具书使用:能比较熟练地使用中小型英汉词典,掌握词语的正确发音、意义和基本用法。

《当代大学英语综合英语》《当代大学英语听说交互英语》《当代大学英语强化阅读英语》第二册具体要求

1.第二册的主要任务是阅读技巧、听说训练和段落写作。 写作的题目往往是已学的课文内容相关。

2.词汇:掌握2,610个单词(其中18%可通过泛读和其他学习项目掌握)以及常用词组。精读量7,000词,泛读量24,000词左右。

3.阅读: 能以每分钟70个单词的速度阅读生词率不超过3%的人物传记、故事、科普短文等,理解正确率达到70%;能读懂简单的应用文;能掌握所读材料的主要内容和中心思想。

4.听: 听懂教师的课堂用语以及对课文内容所作的解释;听懂他人以较慢的语速谈论日常生活;听懂基本没有生词、题材熟悉、难度略低于高三所学课文的语段,理解正确率达到70%。

5.写: 能根据提示,在20分钟内写出100个单词左右的短文,无严重语法错误,意义表达清楚;能改写课文内容;能书写简单的书信、便条和通知等应用文,格式和行文无严重错误,书写规范。

6.说: 能熟练地就课文内容进行问答,并进行简单的讨论;经过准备,能简单而连贯地复述听过的或读过的语段;能就日常生活的话题进行初步的交际;能清楚而连贯地讲述学生熟悉的题材和课文内容,长度不少于八句。

7.译:能独立完成课程中的各种翻译练习,要求理解准确、语言通顺。

8.工具书使用:能比较熟练地使用中小型英汉词典,掌握词语的正确发音、意义和基本用法。

《当代大学英语综合英语》《当代大学听说交互英语》及《当代大学强化阅读英语》第三册具体要求

1.第三册的主要任务是培养学生语篇分析、段落写作、听说、阅读和翻译的技能。

2.词汇: 掌握3,250个单词(其中18%可通过泛读和其他学习项目掌握)以及常用词组。对其中400左右的常用词要求拼写正确, 精读量8,000词,泛读量26,000词左右。

3.阅读: 能阅读难度较浅显材料,阅读速度为每分钟70-100个单词,理解中心大意,抓住主要情节或论点。

4.听: 听懂英勇语国家人士所作的难度不超过所学语言知识的讲座,掌握中心大意,理解主要内容,并能辨别说话人的态度和语气。能在15分钟内听写根据已学知识编写而成或选用的录音材料(词数120个左右,念四遍,语速为每分钟80个单词),错误率不超过15%。

5.写: 能在30分钟内写出长度为100-120个单词的短文,内容切题,条理清楚,语言正确;能改写或缩写课文内容;能正确书写便条和通知等应用文。

6.说: 能就所听到的语段进行问答和复述;能就日常生活话题进行交谈;做到正确表达思想,语音、语调自然,无重大语法错误,语言基本得体。

7.译:能独立完成课程中的各种翻译练习,要求译文忠实于原文、表达流畅。能独立完成课程中的各种翻译练习,要求译文忠实于原文、表达流畅。

8.工具书使用:能较熟练地使用《新英汉词典》等英汉词典和简易的英英词典(如

Oxford Advanced English Dictionary 以及Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English),独立解决语言问题,形成良好的自主学习风气。

9.文化素养:对中国文化有一定的了解;通过课本的学习对英美等英语国家的地理历史和发展现状有一定的了解。

《当代大学英语综合英语》《当代大学听说交互英语》及《当代大学强化阅读英语》第三册具体要求

1.第四册的每篇文章控制在900左右,任务是培养学生听说、读、写、译的技能。

2.词汇:掌握3,150个单词(其中18%可通过泛读和其他学习项目掌握)以及常用词组。对其中500左右的常用词要求拼写正确, 精读量9,000词,泛读量37,000词左右。能英汉互译,并掌握其用法。

3.阅读:较好地掌握句子之间和段落之间的衔接手段如照应、省略、替代等。能读懂难度相当于难度相当的篇章,要求在理解的基础上抓住要点,并能运用正确观点评价思想内容。阅读速度为每分种120-150个单词,理解准确率不低于70%。能在5分钟内速读600词左右、中等难度的文章,掌握文章的大意。

4.听: 听懂英语国家人士关于日常生活和社会生活的谈话;听懂中等难度的听力材料,理解大意,领会作者的态度、感情和真实意图。能在15分钟内听写根据已学知识编写或选用的词数为150个左右、语速为每分钟100个单词的录音材料,错误率不超过15%。

5.写: 能根据作文题目、提纲或图表、数据等,在30分钟内写出长度为120-150个单词左右的短文,内容切题,结构严谨,条理清楚,语法正确,语言能顺,表达得体;并能根据提示在15分钟内写出长度为60个单词左右的应用文。

6.说: 能用英语进行简单的交谈,做到正确表达思想、语音与语调自然,无重大语法错误,语言基本得体。

7.译:能独立完成课程中的各种翻译练习,要求译文忠实于原文、表达流畅。

8.工具书使用:能较熟练地使用各种英汉词典如《英汉大词典》等英汉词典和部分英英词典(如Collins Cobuild College English Dictionary 和Random House College Dictionary),独立解决语言问题和部分知识方面的疑难问题。

9.文化素养:熟悉中国文化传统,具有一定的艺术修养;较熟悉英语国家的地理、历史、发展现状、文化传统、风俗习惯;具有较多的人文知识和科技知识;具有较强的创新意识和一定的创新能力。

(一)本课程在必修期间采取教考分离的形式进行测试。学生从第二学期开始以后的每个学期结束时参加全国大学英语四级考试,通过四级考试的学生可参加六级考试,其考试成绩计入毕业成绩。平时考核的形式可以采用口试、笔试相结合的办法,也可以只采用笔试,由教师随堂进行,计入学生的平时成绩。通过大学英语四级考试学生的毕业成绩按照90分计算,通过大学英语六级考试学生的成绩按照100分计算。如果学生大学英语四级考试成绩低于60分,则按照学生的四级考试成绩乘与再乘70%,加学生的平时成绩乘与30%计算。如某生的大学英语四级成绩为56分,平时成绩为78分,其毕业成绩则为56╳╳70%+78╳30%=分。

(二)严格考试组织,加强考题管理,使考试得以顺利进行,杜绝作弊现象。

(三)学生毕业成绩的评定应使平时成绩,包括期中测验,占一定的比例。另外,还可以根据学生的考勤、课堂表现适当增减其毕业成绩。

六.完成本大纲的措施

(一)《当代大学英语》课程提供了极为详尽的教学内容,这是传统教学模式中最基本的教学内容。教师可自行制作教案或修改已提供的教案,丰富和完善教学内容。

(二)教师应注重教与学的观念转化和手段更新,把传统的\"灌注式教学\"逐步演化到自主选择、参与式的教学,要努力把课堂授课和学生自主学习有机的结合起来,采取学生学习为主,教师辅导、帮助为辅的手段进行教学。以教师为中心的教学转变为以学生为中心的教学。课堂教学重在启发、引导,要加强学生思维能力和创新能力的培养,注重培养学生的自主学习能力。教学中要注意采用启发式、讨论式、发现式和研究式的教学方法,充分调动学生的学习积极性和参与性,激发学生的学习动机。

(三)英语课程教学是实施全面素质教育的主要途径之一。教师应熟悉本大纲的内容,要对学生进行全面教育,提高学生对学好英语的重要性的认识。教会学生利用正确的学习方法,严格要求,热情帮助,调动学生的积极性,使他们积极参与课堂教学活动,努力完成课外作业。

(四)教师要善于学习,总结经验,在教学过程中要努力体现当前外语教学思想的转变。这种转变主要表现为由单纯重视语言知识转变为既重视语言知识,又要努力发展交际能力,不仅重视句子水平的训练,还要发展语篇水平上进行交际的能力,以教师为中心的教学转变为以学生为中心的教学;正确处理准确与流利的关系,重视语言考试方法的研究。

(五)教师在教学过程中应重视打好学生的语言基础,采用合适的教法,进行读、听、说、写、译五种技能的训练,培养学生运用语言进行交际的能力。精读教学中,要充分运用精读材料进行五种技能的训练。利用听写、回答问题、口头复述课文大意、造句、翻译、写课文大意等手段进行练习泛读教学中,除教会学生阅读技能外,还要培养学生正确阅读的习惯,要求学生记住某些日常用语、习语,以扩大学生的词汇量。词汇教学中要引导学生注意词的搭配,掌握常用词的基本用法。打好扎实的语言基本功,注重各项语言技能的全面发展,突出语言交际能力的培养。语言基本功的训练是英语教学的首要任务,必须贯穿于2年教学的全过程。在注意听、说、读、写、译各项技能全面发展的同时,更应该突出说、写、译能力的培养。注重培养跨文化交际能力。在专业课程的教学中要注重培养学生对文化差异的敏感性、宽容性以及处理文化差异的灵活性。

(六) 21世纪是一个国际化的知识经济时代,利用课本拓宽学生人文学科知识和科技知识,掌握与毕业后所从事的工作有关的专业基础知识,注重培养获取知识的能力、独立思考的能力的创新的能力,提高思想道德素质、文化素质和心理素质。加强学生思维能力和创新能力的培养。教学中要有意识地训练学生分析与综合、抽象与概括、多角度分析问题等多种思维能力以及发现问题、解决难题等创新能力。在教学中要正确处理语言技能训练和思维能力、创新能力培养的关系,两者不可偏废。

(七)教师要尽量用英语组织教学,以创造语言环境,使学生多接触英语,增强语感。注意开展课外活动,如演讲比赛、讲座、测试、竞赛等等。充分利用各种现代化教学手段,如广播、录音、录像、电影、电视、投影、计算机、多媒体和网络技术等。
